Unboxing & Preview HTC HD7 : The Monster Entertainment

I know that a lot of people make a video when unboxing something. But I choose to be a lil bit diff. (Ceyh! Cakap je lah tak ada video cam! =.=”)

My very first impression was “TWAS HUGEEEEE“. But, suprisingly it doesnt feel so bulky or over weight to me.

Eventho the phone is huge, but I actually had no problem to hold it. As I said, it wasn’t really bulky and a lot slimmer than I thought.
BUT, unlikeĀ iPhone where you just slide the lock on the screen to unlock it, to unlock/lock HTC HD7, you need to click the power button on the top of the phone. I keep clicking the camera button on the side and tapping the screen when I tried to unlock it for the first time.
I was ready to off the phone when I realise that the power button is actually the button to unlock & lock the phone. Thank You HTC HD7! =.=”

Completely forgot to take the kickstand and side pictures. Now, about the phone kickstand, twas probably the most unnecessary feature on the phone ever!
BUT, honestly, I actually think that it was pretty AWESOME. I was thinking off enjoying some videos without the need to put the phone in my pencil box (to make it stand) or lean it on a pile of books or things while studying/eating/talking with friends. After all, the kickstand was added to let the user sit back and enjoy the HD video with hands-free viewing.
Gotta say that I really love the phone appearance. It has a sexy back. LOL.

Here are the previews for main screen/menu.
LOVE the menu/home screen! The big tiles are very acttractive and I love the fact that we could personalize it – arrange the tiles, change the tiles and background colors, adjust the brightness, pin up things that we use most and remove things that we dont.
HATE the err what is that? the secondary menu (third pic)? You have to scroll down a lot to find apps or anything that was not in your home screen. Imagine that if I have more than 50 apps! Scroll and scroll! Luckily it was arranged according to the names, less hassle.
STILL, it would be better if it was icons based menus like iPhone.

And the picture of my blog on HTC HD7 mark the end of unboxing and the preview of “The Monster Entertainment”. =)
I will go into more details on how the phone works in the next post!
