It’s a THAI Sukiyaki, Not JAPANESE

Thai’s Sukiyaki

Haha. Okay. This gonna be weird, funny & stupid.

I grew up thinking Sukiyaki is a Thai food. Well. At least until I was 20 years old. I google-ed SUKIYAKI and found out that Sukiyaki is a japanese dish. And then it hit me, SUKIYAKI sound so JAPANESE! How could I thought that it was Thai’s?

Well. It is because I’ve been eating Sukiyaki at Thai’s restaurant since I was small. Of course I thought it was Thai’s eventhough the name.. obviously! if you notice that it sound Japanese. Okay. You get me. Right? =.=”

But duh! I just found out that THERE ARE TWO TYPE OF SUKIYAKI. Yup. That’s right! Thai’s Suki and Japanese Sukiyaki. Haha. So, I’m not wrong! LOL

So, here it is. The Thai’s Sukiyaki that I cooked last night.

The difference between Thai’s and Japanese is that Thai’s has special spicy sukiyaki dipping sauce which you can just add in the soup or you can just simply put it in a something and dip the meat, crab stick or whateva things in your hot pot.

While Japanese’s Sukiyaki isnt anything like steamboat. The ingredients was cooked / simmered instead of boiled in a hot pot. And before being eaten, the meat is usually dipped in a raw egg.

And yes, this is the Thai’s Sukiyaki sauce!

Kenapa Saffa tak pernah terfikir that IF IT IS JAPANESE, why would there be a lot of this Sukiyaki sauce in Thailand’s supermarket? Haha. Okay.

Asian, and especially Thai food, is gaining in popularity world wide. I encourage everyone to add a little diversity to thier lives by trying some different flavors like this.
