First of all, I strongly recommend that you read this guide first > KLue: 16 tips on how to survive the festival! Now. I’m going to cover things that KLue left behind and reiterate important things. ;)

Ticket?

“As a rule of thumb, all music, photography and film take place in paid zones.” As for me: Dont buy the ticket unless you gonna stay and enjoy all the performances, film and photography thingy.

Even IF you dont have the ticket, you can still enjoy the festival = ONLY IF you are not an avid artsy thingy/any music group which will be performing there. ;)

BTW, if you missed the Pre Sale ticket. You can walk in and buy the ticket at the door/Urbanscapes @ INFO HERE.

MOOLAH a.k.a Money?

There’s no ATM machine at KLPAC. The nearest ATMs are in Sentul town. So, bring enough cash okayy!

Food and Drink?

Yup. There is a marketplace / Food & drink stalls… BUT. The prices are freaking a bit expensive. Last year, a tin of Coke cost about RM3? A mineral water too!

So. Eat your lunch first before you go to the Urbanscapes & bring your own drink. ;)

Schedule?

Goodies & Sale?

Public Transport?

KTM/Star LRT to Sentul and Taxi to KLPAC. Easy! BUT. Please please be careful with taxi. My friend and I was being cheated by the taxi driver last year. We had to pay RM10 from KTM Sentul to KLPAC.

The truth is, KTM Sentul and KLPAC is not that far. KTM’s Sentul station is next to Sentul Park where KLPAC is located. You can read more about KLPAC location @ INFO.

TIP: If the taxi driver does not know where klpac is, mention the old KTM (National Railway) depot, Sentul Golf Club or Sentul West. klpac used to be a golf clubhouse and before that a railway depot. It is located in what is now known as Sentul Park which is part of YTL Corporation’s Sentul West development.

Weather?

HOT HOT HOT. So, dress casually (No thick jacket!) and dont forget the sunblock too. No heel please. Urbanscapes is an outdoor festival. You dont want to sprain your ankles while walking on the ground / jamming at The Lawn.

BTW, You might want to pack an Umbrella too.. IN CASE it rain / the sun is too hot to handle? Or bring along a small fan. Alaa.. The small fan that use battery tu..  XD

Be EARLY!

Car pool or not. The parking space is limited and Urbanscapes venue is wayyy far from the KLPAC entrance. 20-30 minutes walk. ;)

Oh ya, 5 Tips To Follow To Achieve Anything.. Seriously? Baik lah. Jom tengok..

1. Set your goal and start NOW! – Dah set GOAL! Okay okay. Kejap nak blog. Jap lagi Saffa start.

2. Don’t give in to distractions – Kejap kejap nak blog. Bukak email. AllKpop. Google Reader. Facebook. Forum. Then Saffa start okayy?

3. Learn everything you need to know – Oh! Saffa tau Saffa tau.. Apa eyk?

4. Turn a big goal into bite sized tasks – Okay.. Esok Saffa fikir macam mana nak turn big goal tu jadi bite sized tasks.

5. Push on until it is done – Owh. Okay….

10. Be creative ; play with prop ; duit syiling etc.

12. Tiru gaya ; polis tengah tiup pistol. WTH. Hahaha..

13. Muka tahan mengantuk.. Expression tak boleh blah.

14. Air mata drama Korea.

15. Air mata drama Melayu.

16. Buat muka cute kanak-kanak menangis.

17. Sorokkan identiti.

18. Yes. I did it. We did it. Lagu Dora The Explorer.

Ermm. =_________= Jom kita usya ‘teknik fotografi‘ yang Saffa telah pelajari sejak beberapa bulan yang lepas! Secara spesifiknya, sejak Saffa berphotoshoot dengan Syafick di KLCC!

1. Amik Gambar Dari Atas (Bermain dengan Perspektif)

Di inspirasikan daripada “MySpace Angle”. Erm.. Perspektif bawah pun boleh, tapi Saffa rasa lah. Tak berapa sesuai lah. Kalau amik gambar orang dari bawah nanti gemuk kowt? *tak semestinya* Pandai-pandai lah eyk!

Cuba bayangkan gambar ini di ambil melalui angle biasa. Bukan angle atas. Rasanya mana lagi stunning? =)

2. Posisi Objek Tidak Semestinya Di Tengah

Entah kenapa Saffa suka letak objek di tepi. Mungkin sebab pengaruh Rule Of Thirds ; Proponents of the technique claim that aligning a subject with these points creates more tension, energy and interest in the composition than simply centering the subject would.

3. Latar Belakang Kosong Menonjolkan Objek (Bermain dengan Latar Belakang)

Tajuk gambar pertama ; Sila tengok Saffa. Hahahaha. Oh ya, lihat gambar ke empat (di bawah) ; tak semestinya latar belakang kosong itu perlu betul-betul kosong seperti gambar pertama untuk menonjolkan ‘objek’.. ;)

4. Hijau Itu Indah

Okay. Ini teknik Fotografi terbaru. “Hijau Itu Indah”. Haha.. The best place untuk berphoto shoot adalah di Taman. Percayalah. Latar belakang Rumput, Tanah, Pokok, Jalan, Kerusi.. Semuanya memang lah ermm. Percaya je lah. Haha.

5. 1, 2 Shoot. Jangan Kira!

Selalu Kadang-kadang mesti kena ‘marah’ bila amik gambar. Saffa, jangan kira. Shoot jer. Fine Syafick. Fine. T_T Gambar ketiga (di atas) sebenarnya half-candid kowt. =.=”

Totally candid. Gambar candid boleh jadi ‘buruk’, tapi dalam masa yang sama kadang-kadang hasil dia sangat! Wah! =)

6. Amik Gambar Melalui ‘Sesuatu’

Cermin? Ah. Bosan walaupun FUN. Haha. Serius nih, cuba amik gambar melalui pantulan/skrin/Shade@Cermin Mata Hitam etc.

7. Amik gambar secara Simmetri

Ignore Rule Of Third! Letak ‘Objek’ di tengah / simmetri. Hasilnya?

8. Amik Gambar Orang Yang Tengah Bergambar (Bermain dengan Objek/Fokus)

Er. Ini macam konsep Candid sebenarnya tapi tak candid. Try lah, sumpah memang ‘baik punya‘. Terutama kalau ada photo shoot formal, korunk menyelit dan ‘Curik’ amik gambar dyeorg tengah bergambar.

Macam ‘Okay, semua pandang kanan‘… Get it?

9. Amik Gambar Melalui Matahari (Bermain dengan Lens Flare)

Amik gambar melalui Matahari ni akan menghasilkan dua gambar. Satu gambar biasa macam kat bawah. Satu lagi gambar ‘Silhoutte’.

Err.. Korunk nampak tak ‘pancaran matahari’ tu? =.=”

Fine. Ini gambar Silhoutte yang tak menjadi.. =.=”

10. Kenali Kamera Anda (Bermain dengan Setting)

Ini sepatutnya first kowt. Haha. Whatever.. Bagi pengguna SLR/DSLR, kena lah tau setting aperture, ISO, white balance etc.

Bagi pengguna Digital Camera, pandai-pandai lah kan. Sekarang ni dah canggih kan, ada night mode, potrait mode, natural mode, auction mode, behind glass mode etc.

Bandingkan gambar di atas dan di bawah! Mana pilihan anda? =) *Setting; White Balance*

Fine. Ini bukan Teknik Fotografi. Tapi apa ntah.. Teknik camner nak amik gambar dengan lebih best je.. Haaha.. Ada banyak lagi kowt. Tapi cukuplah setakat ni dulu. Okay readers!

I have been blogging for past quarter year now and there are countless mistake that I had done. I read a lot of tips on blogs and try to improve my blog. I do not want my blog to be label as blog merapu. And here I am. I’ve deleted all my entries before (some may say I’m stupid because of it) so that I could start all over again. I’ve sort out some of my mistakes which I had learn all this time.

1. Putting the cart before the horse

I’ve just started blogging when I bought my domain. I didn’t know anything about hosting back then. It was Aisyah who guide me. I don’t even know what are cpanel, bandwidth and all kind of things related to blogging. -_-

I wanted to own self-hosted blog because of the flexibility of changing my blog theme design and features. I didn’t do much research and that is probably my biggest mistake.

Learning from others is the short-cut, but learning from experience engrains those mistakes deeper in the mind.

2. Intention

I’m not sure why I started to blog. Maybe its because I’m bored with the so-called social networking. Perhaps reader interaction is the thing that made me addicted to blogging. I really love to read and blogs ‘feed’ my appetite.

I don’t have any aim in blogging, perhaps that’s was my mistake. I don’t have any target and constant reason for blogging.

3. Mundane entries

As I don’t really have specific target, my entries are usually about me. I forgot how I’m craving for interesting stories in other blogs but I myself wrote something which should only be for my own reading.

I should had a blogger blog if my blog only revolving about my personal life. I admit that I’m too conscious on how my blog look like than the content. I simply forgot that the writing show who are we; more than the looking.

4. Long absences

As I’m trying to keep up with my university life, I’m spending less time online and consequently end up abandoning my blog.

I know the importance of updating my blog but somehow I always find a reason not to blog. As a result, I have lots of draft saved in my laptop. Updates Updates Updates! A lack of updates indicates that your blog is on its way out, and readers will quit checking back.

5. Not commenting on other people blog

Ahah.. I’m expecting comments from other people, but I simply leave other people blog without any comment.

6. Monetization

I’m still new in blogsphere and as a newbie, I notice most of bloggers monetize their blog. I got carried away and trying to monetize my blog in the first place and it is most probably not a good idea at all.

you should forget about it totally – and concentrate on the articles you write, how appealing they could be.Everything else, fame and money will follow
