If it somehow has made you angry, then, you’re exactly what I am describing here.
just because you own a DSLR it doesn’t mean you’re awesome.
it just say you’re spoiled.
just because you take photos with DSLR it doesn’t mean they are awesome.
it just say you can take photo.
just because you hang your DSLR on your neck it doesn’t mean you are cool.
it just say you’re a conformist.
just because you have DSLR it doesn’t mean you’re photography literate.
it just say you’re showing off.
if you think you’re none of the above,
proof me wrong.
take a photo. put it up. unedited.
try using an SLR. compare the shits you produce with an SLR with shits you produce with a DSLR.
tell me what SLR & DSLR is without looking it up.
My p.o.v on DSLR?
Other than expensive? It is overrated.
If you work for it to own it, then I salute you.
If you bought it with your own hard earned money, I say, use it wisely, make it worth every penny.
The first time I found out about SLRs, I thought no one but the professionals can own it.
because you don’t see EVERYONE carrying it around at all. I thought it was exclusive.
and that was way before everyone was “into” it.
before wedding photography got famous.
before everyone knew the “definition” of portraiture, shutter, aperture, exposure, pixel, resolution, ISO, lens, strobe, exif, jpeg, etc.
Now that everyone seems to know everything about photography, it makes me less interested and bothered in taking photos.
Since they are ohsosuperior, why not just take the photos from them?

But I do feel something from it. Not in a bad way, just rasa that this is something to ponder upon. A gentle reminder from a friend. :D

aku ada compact, SLR & DSLR.. seriusly x rasa bangga pun bwk DSLR, tp bangga bila org kata gambar yang kita ambik tu cantik..camera is just a tool.. :)

I used to carry my compact camera everywhere tau. Especially during meet ups or gatherings, but now macam dah takde mood since EVERYONE nak ckp pasal technicalities of photography (lighting, ISO, exposure), carry DSLR, yada yada.
I’m sick of it!
Macam nak show off their superiority dlm photography je. Nak bagitahu the whole world that they can talk about the technicalities of photography. Semua org pun boleh ok. Letak je terms2 tu dalam ayat. TADAA, you now sound like a photography literate.
Point and shoot sudah. Kalau main setting sangat pun, moment tu takkan tunggu you siap setting camera ok.
UGH. GERAM!
hahahaha.
Tapi paling marah sebab diorg beli sbb rasa cool and parents pun ikut sangat ckp anak.

jgnla ckp cmtu, blog aku cerita psl fotografi.. haha.. i talk bcoz nak share je.. mcm cikgu nk mengajar anak2 muridnya.. tp mmg ada jgk golongan cmtu & aku biasa jmpa time wedding.. baru ada basic kit dh kecoh satu group.

Sharing because you have the knowledge is different than showing off tau.
Masalahnya skg, teenagers skg mintak DSLR tu mcm mintak nak beli buku skolah. ckp je, dapat terus.
Jem ade kawan yg minat gila photography, dia blh afford Apple products semua tapi parents dia xnak support belikan DSLR. So dia gi kawan dgn (real) photographers, blajar sambil tlg2 kwn dia tu & dpt income. Income tu dia guna sewa camera kwn dia tu.
Itu baru usaha.
Bukan Jem nak suruh semua org pegi buat mcm tu, tapi instead of just asking and terus dapat, why can’t they belajar dulu, read up on photography materials, gain knowledge about it first, then simpan duit and beli. Baru la diorg rasa perit nak dpt tu & they’ll actually appreciate the DSLR & tak heret benda tu merata ceruk sbb rasa cool & superior je.
Cuba kasi SLR kat diorg, tak pakai pny! Bkn blh delete2 or tgk lps amek. ha ha ha
Actually, ini applicable kpd semua benda materialistik yg diorg blh sng2 dpt ja. not just DSLR (Blackberry, iPhone, Topshop, Haagen Daaz, cars, Macbook etc).
pernah tengok orang ke hulu ke hiling dengan DSLR tapi cara pegang macam guna compact camera eheh. nasib baik dia bukan jenis show off dgn DSLR dia.
skang guna kamera henpon je..kamera sudah rosak. dem
