Macbook,
Hello,
Imma abandon my blog (or maybe not) for a while, so I thought why not I leave (post up) something to fill in the gap. I’m not sure if anyone gonna respond to this, but, Imma give it a try.
So, here it is. What do you think about Macbook, should I get Air or should I get Pro? Or should I just get Ultrabook instead?
I’m going to buy a new laptop for myself, using my own money and that’s where the problem lies. I’m gonna dump my own saving to buy a laptop and honestly, I’m scared. Laptop. Thousand of Ringgit. Definitely not an easy choice / thing to do.
So, why Macbook?
Okay. This is stupid. For me, Macbook is a safe choice. I’m not knowledgeable in this kind of thing. So, if I bought Macbook, it is because of one thing that I’m really sure, Macbook is a great laptop in term of its power and performance. Right? And if I dont like Macbook after I bought it, I figure out that I can always sell it back without losing much money.
Ahh. I dont knowwwww… I dont even know which Ultrabook that is comparable to Macbook in term of performance/power to survey. So help me please? I appreciate any comments from you, like seriously. I’ve been doing my research and google things since months before I start saving up. Gosh. It’s not easy to make decision guys.

I have a 13 inch macbook pro bought last year. From my own personal experience:
Pros
- Looks awesome
- Mac is very user friendly (nak install software so easy)
- a lot less lag/hang than windows (boot up pun v quick)
- high resale value
Cons
- Software not as easily available (can download though)
- works mostly with apple accessories only
- If rosak can only send to apple for repair and parts
- Takes a while to get used to if you’re used to windows. Bout a day or two.
I think for your blogging n photography macbook would be great. But if you’re using it for work or study, then you might need to use finance/statistical software yeah ? Better check if they make it for mac ke tak ok ? Also, try and pegi main at the Apple shop to see if you like it and if so which one, air or pro.

Wow. Thank you so much! Nah. I didnt use much finance/statistical software pun. Shouldnt be a problem for me. Plus I only have 2 more semesters and my major are in Management & Marketing, so yeah. Gonna buy it for two reason, photoshop/photography stuffs things and video editing (which I wanted to try when I get a new laptop).
I went to Apple reseller store (Machines etc) countless of time. A must visit store if I went to KLCC / malls actually. Browsing this and that. Still couldnt make up my mind / rasa takut to make the purchase. =.=

first thing, OS dia berlainan..so check apa application yg nak dipakai n make sure ada alternatif utk OSX….
kedua…keyboard dia lain sket….take time nak biasakan…..tapi once dah biasa…takde masalah dah….
tiga, kalau dh btol nk amik macbook, amik extended warranty….just in case kalau rosak…mmg mahal nak repair…sbb dia compact n banyak welded parts..sama kes cam ultrabook jugak
but knowing apple stuff, quality dia mmg jaga…kalau ada rosak, most likely dapat 1 to 1 exchange tros….tp just for cases like air tertumpah ke…terjatuh ke…hehe….

Go for Pro! Air design luar ok, but both rasanyamore or less its about the same inside. Cuma one thing kene notes, air takde cd player. Kena beli external, dah la mahal, kene tambah duit lagi. Paling penting, dah beli macbook, beli apple care extended warranty, nanti semua barang macbook yang install kat macbook tu (mouse, keyboard) pun automatik dpt extended warranty gak.
In terms of photography memang superb. Senang nak edit, photoshop pun senang nak masuk. Plus ada iPhoto lagi. And ada iMovie, berkali ganda better dari movie maker, video jadi macam profesional edited. Banyak lagi yang best, misalnya, garage band, dia ajar main alat muzik (gitar/drum/dll) for free!
Plus macbook off on dia mcm ipad beb, tak pernah lagi setakat ni takes more than 1 minute to load. laju gila. dan dan dan, kalau student, grab sekali microsoft office for mac. sbb kalau saya student banyak kene pakai excel/word/ppt. terpulang la kat u mcm mana, check dulu fav soft either compatible kat mac ke idok.
Tapi mcm chrome, vlc, blabla2 tu semua mostly dia support.
Nak tau apa best pasal mac? Dia punya touchpad! pening wooo awal2 nak get used to. Kat mac takde right click! Kene double finger tap! swipe pun macam2, 1 jari swipe jadi ni, 2 jari jadi tu, 3 jari jadi ni, 4 jari cmni, swipe bulat jadi ni, bulat masuk, swipe kanan, swipe kiri.. semua ada function. dah zoom gambar pun main pakai jari je kat touchpad. mula mula pening gila, but once get used to it… TERBAIK. inilah yang beats windows kalau saya.
Jangan risau kalau pening awal2 sebab dlm macbook jugak dah tips nak pakai. and kalau tempat saffa, tak sure la tapi kalau tempat saya kalau beli macbook siap dia ada bagi kelas lagi kalau first time user. beli kat maccity.
alah, senang kata google, mostly semua ada situ. macbook best ke tak? ABSOLUTELY. takkan menyesal beli, trust me ;)

Heyyyy Apisz, thank you much! All those things yang you mention finally make me feel very clear about buying Macbook. Those are things yang Saffa takut sebenarnya, takut tak dapat accustom dengan Macbook ni punya OS, functions etc. And all those tips/recommendation, thank youuu!
Alamakkk. Macam scary jer dengan touchpad tu. =.=” Owh. Ada class. LOL. That’s great. Maybe I should consider buying at Mac City then. But ingat nak beli dekat Apple Education Store. Dapat RM300 off.

Macbook, because if you want to use Windows, there’s always Boot Camp to load Windows, which is a built-in feature to Macs. So you get the best of both world. Read this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461. There’s also VMWare Fusion to side load Windows in OSX without rebooting but with the cost of performance since you will load 2 OS at the same time.
In terms of internal hardware, they are all the same Intel-based chipset. But you could get a more powerful ultrabook with a much lower price than the macbook.
