Insadong, The Cultural District.

How I wish we could have a cozy shopping district like this in Malaysia. Did you see the pedestrian walk? They use tile. FREAKING TILE. It’s not just in Insadong, but also at other shopping district such as Myeongdong and through out my trip there, I encountered a lot of reconstruction. Can Malaysia govt please reconstruct / renovate our current sidewalk and pedestrian walk?

But maybe the first thing that we should do is learn abour MANNER/ETHICS.

Anyways, Insadong is a neighborhood known for arts, mainly crafts and artwork. Bought a lovely pottery for my mum here and few hand bags & bag pack price at 10 000 won only for my families!

Ah yes, remember this? =.=

I like the fact that they emphasize on ethics a lot. Kan? Tengok lah ads on their train, respect the elder, pregnant woman and care for children. And then they emphasize on safety & health.

Most of the time when we were in the train, ramai elder people gave up their seat and insist on my 6 years old nephew untuk duduk instead, MasyaAllah, their manners memang indescribable. Except most of the youngsters are antisocial, mengadap phone jer. =.=”

Was it difficult to travel there without knowing the language ? I bet they are like Japan in that they don’t speak English much right ?

    Nice pics too :)

A bit difficult when buying things and you want to bargain. Other than that, not much problem. But yeah, I think they dont speak English much unless that place is a tourist attraction place / they are white collar workers. Tak berapa sure sebab tak pernah sesat or try to communicate asking this and that. Besides that, sometimes our relative who stay there ikut pergi, so, dia lah yang jadi translator. =.=”

One thing yang I notice, older people are more willing to help us and communicate with us.
