HTC HD7 & The Hubs

Can HTC HD7 be more than just a monster entertainment with 4.3″ screen?
Through Windows Phone Hub, HTC HD7 bring People Hub, Entertainment Hub, HTC Hub, Search Hub, Office Hub and Games Hub.
Hubs bring together a related set of applications, services and content into a single view to simplify common tasks. Your contacts, music, games and work can be shared, synced and accessed virtually wherever you happen to be.
Didnt know how to explain what is Hub.. =.=”
People Hub

Definitely my FAVORITE HUB. “Everyone in a place”. And yes they do! Since I’m using a new sim card, I dont have any contact at all. BUT, to my suprise, BAM! There’s a longggggg list in my People Hub. Pulled from my FB friend list & Live account! LOL
People Hub consist of the list of my contact, updates from Facebook, my recent people in contact and the last pic is contact’s profile that was pulled from FB’s info. It has a quick access to write on their FB wall, send an email and check what is new on their FB. PLUS I can comment on their wall post too and even LIKE it. AWESOMEEEEEE. Totally love it. With just a tap tap tap, I’m done!
Entertainment Hub

Please excuse my Taeyang moment! LOL
FYI, all your music & video are integrated with Zune (like iTunes). And as you can see in the above pic, Zune section consist of Music, Video, Podscast, Radio & Market Place. The other sections are History (recently played), New and Marquee (quick acess to YouTube).
Psstt. Dont you love watching your fav videos in 4.3″ screen? :)
BTW, the backgroud image change according the last song / video played. I opened lady gaga song before and this is what I get. =.=”

The Music in HTC HD7 was sorted according to Artists, Albums, Genres and a Playlist too (it empty, didnt have any playlist yet).
And if you choose any artist from ARTISTS, for example, Lady Gaga. It will show Lady Gaga page which consist of Albums, Songs and Bio (Biodata page, the artist history)!
For ALBUMS & SONGS, it gonna show : In Collection (Songs in my phone – assorted according to the Album in ALBUMS or list of songs in SONGS) & Marketplace (Albums / Songs available on Zune). As you can see on the 1st & 2nd pic.
One thing that really suprise me is, if I tap on Lady Gaga – The Fame Album (in ALBUMS). There will be Album The Fame with the list of song in my collection and slide it on the side, there’s a review on the album! Sorry I forgot to take the pic, but it will be in my next MarketPlace post!
HTC Hub

HTC Hub provide a set of apps exclusive to HTC Windows Phone 7. Sorry the pic is too light. In case you cant see, the title is featured, applications & games.
I really dont have a clue what is HTC Hub at first. I’ve to google it. LOL. And now I know. Not really impress with the exclusive apps.. I like it but it wasnt really woahhhh. Wish there are more apps! (so tamak!) BUT, gotta admit that the apps are pretty handy to me esspecially Notes, Torchlight & Converter! I actually use it! =.=”
What really amuse me is the Weather! It is in 3D animation and change according to the current weather of your place. It would rain (with thunder if there’s thunderstorm!) LOVE it! LOL
Search Hub

Bing. I dont use it much. Never use it actually. One of the main buttons on the bottom of the camera is a search button, which when it was press will open a bing. A quick access if you want to search anything quickly. Also come with voice search function. The downside of the voice search is, it couldnt really recognize other words than English.
Shout “Maya Karin” and you will end up with “My Aunt Pain”. Siti Nurhaliza will be “69 High Pizza”, while Langkawi is “Young Dunny”. And my name will be translated as “satellite TV” =.=”
Office Hub

I really dont have much things to say. It was good but I probably wont use it kowt? I even have a cramp for typing a few sms-es. There’s no way I’m gonna do my works using this Office OneNote. Probably for others, certainly not for me.
Office hub contains all the necessary things such as Undo, Redo, Bulleted list, Increase/Decrease indent and Format (Bold, Italic, Underline, Strike and Highlight). You can also include a number list, picture from your phone or audio. Once you are done, you can email it! There’s also SharePoint integration which means you can share your docs with others.
Oh well, I might use Office Hub to open my lecture’s power point slide, an excuse to actually play with the phone during the lectures and just swap on the power point slide back when I see my lecturer coming to me! Hahahahaha.
Games Hub

I completely forgot to take this XBox Live screen cap! which explain why the angle isnt the same with other screen cap in this entry.
Integrated with XBox Live, there are a lot of games in the MarketPlace, I can even try it first before buying and I decided to download Need For Speed! And the game is really breath taking! LOL.
I tried to customize my XBox Live account avatar and info but somehow couldnt. So I just leave it like that. And as you can see, there’s a REQUEST page which allow you to play a game and invite your friend to play with you / accept any game invite from others.
Gotta say that HTC HD7 should be in the list of games enthusiasts, it is really appealing in term of graphic and the smoothness. But it take kinda a while to load. I wish the game just pop up, not loadinggggggg the blabla.. I’m not a gamer, but this is another Hub that I like beside the People Hub. This phone make me feel like I own a PSP! LOL

My nephew keep “nak main game nak main game” when he saw my phone and quickly grab it! Without waiting for me to show how, he slide it and tap it! Gosh. Kid nowadays is sooooo technologically advanced. He’s not even 5 years old yet.
Another thing that he like to do is open the messaging, type randomly and hit the send button! T_________T Oh ya, it’s not related to the review. Should stop now. So, yeah. That’s all.
HTC HD7 pricing is available up on the Maxis site – just in case you are are wondering / interested in the pricing and contract details.

Hi there! Came across your site through the Malaysian WP7 FB page. Just wondering how you manage to get the music/zune hub to have background images? Is your Windows Live ID Malaysian or US based?
Reply
Hi, US based. Why? Did you use Malaysia ID and couldnt get any background image on Zune Hub at all?
Reply
mine is singapore based, doesn’t have any background on music =.=”
