Lomography #03: Films Part 1
Ada dua jenis filem. NEGATIVE film (Color/Black&White) and SLIDE film. And filem-filem yang Saffa paparkan pada hari ni/ dalam entri ni, semuanya slide film.
Baik lah. Kita mula kan dengan soalan paling famous. Boleh ignore/skip je.
CROSS PROCESS?
A slide film can be processed via e-6 chemicals. A color negative film can be processed via c-41 chemicals. Now, most of the labs has C-41 processing tank/machine. So if you have this Lomo XPRO 100 from Lomography (which is slide film), you cook this suppose-to-be E6 chemical into a C41 machine! What will you get? Crazy colors! Now that’s what Cross-process is! *
Now. Let’s proceed to the films!
1# Lomography X-Pro

Saffa tak pernah try guna Film X-Pro.. Saffa rasa filem ni macam EBX? Saturated and BLUE-ish. Bila cross process, the colors will be more vibrant!

For the above picture, Saffa rasa normal process kowt. Sebab color dia tak intense sangat.
2# Fuji Velvia

Ahah! Dah pernah try. When Mr FishEye 2 Met Miss Velvia, Antara Pavilion Dan KLCC And Au Revoir Miss Velvia ;)
Tapi. Gambar-gambar Saffa semua reddish and orange-ish. Velvia sebenarnya boleh hasil kan blue and pink hues effect as you can see in the gallery
It is all about the EXPOSURE. =.=”

3# Fuji Sensia

Radical pinks in bright light, and deep purples in lower light. Looking forward to try this film next time! :D
Currently, (in my FE2 camera) Saffa tengah pakai film Astia. Tak sabar nak shoot kat Urbanscapes this saturday!

4# Kodak Elitechrome EBX

Tried the EBX and the results are.. EBX Is The Brand New Silhouette. Oh! Hello Baby!. Nur Nads. Saffa suka sangat-sangat EBX. Color dia sangat strong (vivid), blue-ish.. Oustanding!
TAPI. Saffa rasa macam FE2 tak berapa sesuai pakai EBX. Sebab entah lah. Terlampau banyak sangat vignette. =.=

5# Fuji Provia (100F)

Tak macam EBX / XPro.. Provia ni subtle sikit with wide range of blue and green color. But still intense and has a very high contrast.

FYI, filem-filem di atas ni boleh di dapati di Internet. Bersepah. Just kena pandai cari jer. Kat Forum. Blog blog. Kedai Gambar pun ada jugak. Satu roll RM15-20.
Saffa selalu dapat kan filem + cuci/develop + scan masuk CD kat Kedai Foto Mega, Wangsa Maju. Bagi Saffa memag murah. Develop film dalam RM5-7. Scan plak RM9 per CD (Better kumpul filem banyak2.. Develop sekali gus, scan masuk dalam satu CD).

nice post. baru saja beli blackbird fly sebelum ni and still pening pasal film. tq for this post =)
sorry for this noob question : cuci/develop film tuh tak termasuk print kan?? tengah cari kedai di area PJ yang buat cuci/develop + scan tapi tak moh print haha.
Reply
Tak. Tak print atas kertas. Memang dia tak akan print pun. Harga tu untuk cuci & develop jer. Nanti Saffa tolong check kan kedai area PJ yang lomo punya. ;)
Reply
erm kedai yang kat area Wanga Maju yg slalu Saffa process gambar kat mana?? nama kedai?? kalu sebut nama Saffa dpt special price ka?? haha
Reply
kalau scan terus xyah develop xleh eh?
Reply
Tak Boleh.
Develop tu nak hasilkan gambar. Lepas dah develop, baru keluar gambar kat filem. And guna special machine, dia akan scan gambar dari filem masuk dalam CD.
Reply
errr.. satu lagi soalan noob. develop tu maksudnya jadi gambar film la kan?
Reply
Develop > Cuci filem tu menggunakan special chemical supaya keluar gambar kat filem tu. ;)
Reply
ooo kiranya kalau kita cakap nak develop je, akan kluar gambar atas filem la kan? kalau cuci yg baru keluar gambar 4r mcm tu. am i right?
Reply
No. Develop & Cuci ni definisi dia sama jer. Macm ni je lah. Cakap je lah “Nak cuci filem. Tak nak print atas kertas.”

bleh suggest website nak cari film tak?

Owh. InsyaAllah Saffa akan cuba buat.

If you read my entry, at the bottom / last paragraph, I clearly said that I bought the films at KEDAI FOTO MEGA, Wangsa Maju. The price range for slide films macam EBX, Agfa, Sensia and Velvia is around RM16-RM19.

Yes. Boleh. Just hantar film tu with our details and instruction. For example, cross process + scan into CD. After dah siap develop, dia akan inform kita melalui SMS/Email.
