Emotional Labor

Waitress is expected to be smiling all the time. Well. Waitress in Kedai Makan Melayu and Hotel is like “HELLO HELLO HELLO.. Macam PLUTO dengan MATAHARI.”

Seriously. You dont know how HELLISH it can be during peak hour. And you expect us to smile gracefully all the time?

There are times when we are totally depress. Depress for seeing 20 tables waiting to be serve. Depress for having a picky customer wanting this and that during peak hour. Depress when what we do isnt right.

So please. Dont raise up your voice during peak hour. *smile*

You know what. If you cant wait. Jangan makan masakan panas. As simple as that.
