Day 2 : What Make Us Happy Doesnt Make Other People Happy Too
So yeah, my hosting buat hal and my blog was down for few hours. Urgh! Nevermind! Anyways, I played with the aperture settings on my DSLR today.
It was fun! But I had some problem with it. I couldnt get the right shot and most of the pictures end up like these;

Strangely, I found them to be a very beautiful pictures and very unique in their own way. Oddly attractive. Yeah!
And this thing make me realise that what make us happy doesnt make other people happy too. Some people might find that these pictures are just simply ‘disaster’.. BUT, for me, these pictures deserve to be displayed in my blog.
I also realise that it was those little things that make the flower shine. Just like stars, without night, stars is nothing.

I failed to capture a close up picture of this flower and end up cropping out the picture to make it look like a not-so-macro / close up shot. Hehe.

I think I’m starting to love my DSLR. Before this, I wasnt so sure about it. =)
BTW, theoretically DSLR seems to be urmm well.. not that hard. But, practically, it’s really hard to get the right setting (Manual Mode). Haha. I guess I’m too dependent on Syafick & Dhila to set the setting for me before this when I had the chance to use their DSLR.
Honestly, the only time when I set the manual setting on my own is when I went to the Ajib & Nana engagement and Youth10 Festivel. Oh, I also realise that Sony Program Mode tend to overexpose under the bright sun compared to Nikon. Ha! kantoi selalu pakai Program Mode dulu! Hehe. *tunjuk gigi*
Happy Monday people!

betul! Lisa still tak reti main2 setting ni. more to point & shoot aje. biasanya kalau yg main2 setting ni is my sister, she’s more on technical stuff than i am. :D

Haha! Exactly! Dulu bila pakai DSLR DLa or Syafick, Saffa just point & shoot jer. Bila dah ada DSLR sendiri kena lah rajin2 sikit explore. Susah jugak nak set kan the setting. Baca photography book macam senang jer. Huhu.

Owh. Okayy! Then, ada tips tak for aperture? Macam if nak shot people potrait / flower close up nak pakai aperture berapa? Or just play around jer with the aperture?
And kenapa gambar bunga Saffa jadi macam tu eyk? Saffa try focus dekat bunga daisy tu, tapi jadi blur and those little buds around bunga tu plak yang jadi sharp. =.=”
Ada kaitan dengan lens yang Saffa pakai ker? I use 18-55mm and for the aperture. Tak ingat pakai berapa? Hehehe.

my two cents;
“Macam if nak shot people potrait / flower close up nak pakai aperture berapa?”
-selalunya portrait guna large aperture (f2.0,f2.8,etc.) sbb kita nak blur kan background so subject kite je yang in focus. tapi kalu background tu tak kacau/serabut sgt and for group portrait, small aperture(f5.6,f8,etc.) pon ok untuk sharp details of the subject and large DOF.
-untuk close up/macro depends on the subject, kalu mcm daisy tu, agak crowded kan, so better gune large aperture sbb nak blur kan daisy2 yang lain on the background.
-all depends on you, the situation and lens.
“And kenapa gambar bunga Saffa jadi macam tu eyk?”
-rasenye tu sbb focus and lens. saffa kene check brape minimum focus distance/close focus lens tu. cth kalu close focus lens tu 40cm, then subject yang below 40cm distance die tak leh nak focus.
-saffa manual focus ke auto focus? kalu gune auto focus maybe sbb AF Area Selection tu set kat AF Wide Area kot. so camera focus ikot focus points. kalu saffa nak focus center kat daisy tu, cuba gune AF Spot Area. die akan focus gune AF center point je. or gune Focus Area Select, so boleh pilih nak focus kat point mane.
“Ada kaitan dengan lens yang Saffa pakai ker?”
-untuk macro better gune macro lens. sbb close focus die dekat.
-tapi kalu banding dengan lens yang dah ade, 55-200mm lagi ok untuk close up. hehe.
hope that helps. but i may be wrong. so correct me if im wrong. :D
