Day 1: A Brand New Beginning

Hello people,

Thanks a lot for your comments! Sumpah terharu. ;’(

Anyways, yesterday was my first day using the DSLR and urmmm.. IT SUCKS A LOT. No! Not the camera. But me! Hahaha. Seriously. Malu nak letak gambar yang Saffa amik semalam.

There are a lot of things that I need to learn. I dont have a chance to open the manual book yet. Gonna do so soon. Lepas study business mathematics and macroeconomics.. =.=”

Anyways, I have decided to create a diary entry to record my progression with my beloved DSLR and pick my favorite shot(s) for that day. All the DSLR-Diary entries will be titled with Day #. :D

Thinking of changing my blog layout. But havent found any template that suit my preferences yet. Ala, just edit template ni jadi lebar sikit je kowt kan? or this 500 pixels width is wide enough? Hurm…

      hell yeah!
welcome the the DSLR owner club!
      congrate!

      Dslr x susah pon.aslkan u ingat 3 bende utama.”The Exposure Triangle”
      ISO,SHUTTER,APERTURE.

ISO – The lower the number the less sensitive your camera is to light and the finer the grain.Higher ISO settings are generally used in darker situations to get faster shutter speeds-however the cost is noisier shots

SHUTTER – Shutter speed is ‘the amount of time that the shutter is open’.Shutter speed is the length of time that your image sensor ’sees’ the scene you’re attempting to capture.

APERTURE – Aperture is ‘the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken’.One thing that causes a lot of new photographers confusion is that large apertures (where lots of light gets through) are given f/stop smaller numbers and smaller apertures (where less light gets through) have larger f-stop numbers. So f/2.8 is in fact a much larger aperture than f/22. It seems the wrong way around when you first hear it but you’ll get the hang of it.

So,once u dah mahir triangle nih, seriously u boley hasilkan pic2 yg giler babas cun!

i ske kesungguhan u.ok,i bg 1 tip today.

u akan dpt image Large Depth of Field , if u gune aperture yg kecik (no yg besar) [f22,f36,etc]
LDOF adlh satu image dimana sume bende dlm pic tu dlm keadaan focus (sharp) termasuk bckground.biasenye Landscape pic la.

sebaliknye,u akan dpt Small/Shallow Depth of Field bile u gune aperture rendah. Small (or shallow) depth of field means that only part of the image will be in focus and the rest will be fuzzy.

      ala,yg blur2 blkg tuh.haha.

      tu je.
      keep it up!

      ikhlas

Honestly, I already knew about this thing. I read about it a lot in magz & blogs. DSLR isnt a new thing to me. It just that I just happen to own a DSLR few days ago. Thanks anyways.

Kalau Saffa rajin, boleh pegi online and download pdf photography magazines. Manual tu the best source la but sometimes magazines punya explanation lagi senang nak faham. One good site is magazinesdownload.com. Look under the art and photography category and you will find a lot of past and recent issues.

      Selamat ber-SLR !

Owh! Thanks for the information. But I rather buy a physical book sebab tak berapa suka online magz / e-magz. Huhu.
