Pin Hole & Grainy Film Shots Using Olympus E-P1

Location: Urbanscapes 2010 @ KLPAC, Sentul

There was a Walkabout Photography Competition by Olympus to promote Olympus E-P1 camera. So, Dhila and I decided to enter the competition. We were given one hour to shot anything using Olympus E-P1 camera and submit our best shot to them.

The winners will walk away with Olympus leather camera satchel worth RM300. #the winners has not been announced yet.

Olympus E-p1 camera is famous with their Art Filter feature. It has Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale & Light Color, Light Tone, Grainy Film and Pin Hole effect. The effects are instantly viewable on the LCD when using the Olympus E-P1.

IMO, it is an awesome camera. The features are cool. Not bulky like DSLR / Super Zoom. I almost wanted to buy the camera instead of DSLR. Haha. Tak boleh! Tak boleh curang. DSLR adalah cinta hati kekasih pertama! =)

Saffa’s Guide To Urbanscapes

I’m going to Urbanscapes Urbanscapes Urbanscapes TOMORROW! Haha..

First of all, I strongly recommend that you read this guide first > KLue: 16 tips on how to survive the festival! Now. I’m going to cover things that KLue left behind and reiterate important things. ;)

Ticket?

“As a rule of thumb, all music, photography and film take place in paid zones.” As for me: Dont buy the ticket unless you gonna stay and enjoy all the performances, film and photography thingy.

Even IF you dont have the ticket, you can still enjoy the festival = ONLY IF you are not an avid artsy thingy/any music group which will be performing there. ;)

BTW, if you missed the Pre Sale ticket. You can walk in and buy the ticket at the door/Urbanscapes @ INFO HERE.

Lomography #03: Films Part 1

Ada dua jenis filem. NEGATIVE film (Color/Black&White) and SLIDE film. And filem-filem yang Saffa paparkan pada hari ni/ dalam entri ni, semuanya slide film.

Baik lah. Kita mula kan dengan soalan paling famous. Boleh ignore/skip je.

CROSS PROCESS?

A slide film can be processed via e-6 chemicals. A color negative film can be processed via c-41 chemicals. Now, most of the labs has C-41 processing tank/machine. So if you have this Lomo XPRO 100 from Lomography (which is slide film), you cook this suppose-to-be E6 chemical into a C41 machine! What will you get? Crazy colors! Now that’s what Cross-process is! *

Now. Let’s proceed to the films!

Saffa tak pernah try guna Film X-Pro.. Saffa rasa filem ni macam EBX? Saturated and BLUE-ish. Bila cross process, the colors will be more vibrant! (more…)

Lomography #02: 3 Kamera LOMO Pilihan Saffa

Baik lah. Saffa mengaku bahawasanya sesungguhnya yang sebenarnya Saffa buat entri ni sebab nak letak gambar-gambar LOMO. Nak show off betapa hebatnya Kamera LOMO.. Hahaha. *Gelak Angel*

Baik lah. Haah. Saffa memang suka “BAIK LAH“. Okay. Dah start merepek dahhhhhhhh… Baik lah. Start start startttt!

Okayy. Nak nakkk nakkkkkkkk. Mahu kamera ni. Tapi.. Tapi.. Sepuluh tahun akan datang kowt. Sebab. Sebab.. Kamera ni RM1000+. Almost RM2000 for Horizon Perfekt……….. *pengsan jap*

DSLR pun tak terbeli lagi. Berusaha Saffa! Berusaha!

BTW, Jangan di tanya aspek teknikal atau features kamera-kamera lomo, sebab Saffa tak tau. Saffa hanya tau pasal Fish Eye 2 and BlackBirdFly sahaja.
